YieldLion makes these products accessible to ALL investors (regardless of accreditation status) and with a low minimum investment amount (0.1 BTC or US$1000).

To improve accessibility, YieldLion accepts investments in the form of Wrapped Bitcoin (wBTC), USD Tether (USDT) or USD Coin (USDC).

Making your first investment with YieldLion

Let’s get started with your first investment on YieldLion.

First, pick an investment instrument: BTC or USD. In our example, we will pick select the Dual Currency — BTC investment.

Referring to the screenshot below, the first thing you will notice is that there is a range of potential investments within the BTC category, sorted by:

  1. Annualized Yield
  2. Linked Price
  3. Expiry Date (or tenure)

Pick an investment that suits your risk/return appetite

“Successful investing is about managing risk, not avoiding it”

Benjamin Graham

The different potential investments reflect different risk/return appetites. Investors that have a higher risk appetite should select investments with a higher annualized yield (and longer tenure). Investors with a more conservative risk appetite should select investments with a lower annualized yield (and shorter tenure).

In this example, we select the investment with the following characteristics: 9% annualized yield, $11500 linked price (while the current market price of BTC was $10893.59) and an expiry date of 2 Oct 2020.

You can select from a variety of investment instruments depending on your risk/return appetite. Yield is a function of the linked price and the tenure (expiry date) of the investment instrument.

We now have to decide whether we are investing in BTC or WBTC (depending on the funds that you have deposited onto YieldLion).

In this example, we are making a 1 WBTC investment. Click “Invest”.

After selecting your preferred investment instrument, you will be prompted on the amount that you seek to invest.

Referring to the screenshot below, you will see a screen to confirm your investment. Click “Confirm Investment”.

There will be an additional screen to confirm your investment.

Voila! You are done!

Referring to the screenshot below, the investment terms are recapped for your reference. It also records the time and date of this investment (in this case, 12:30:05 on 28th Sept 2020).

After you have confirmed your investment, you will see a screen that records the date & time of your investment, as well as all the relevant terms of the investment.

Referring to the screenshot below, if you click on the “Investment” tab, you will see a list of your current and past investments.

Your new investment is also reflected there and it should have an “Active” status.

Past investments will have a “Settled” status.

After you have confirmed your investment, you will see the investment reflected in your list of investments.

Good luck with your investing journey on YieldLion! We hope you enjoy the safe & steady yields that you can enjoy on the platform.
